About

I didn't move to Tennessee because I knew Tennessee.

In 2018, I was living in Southern California when I read an article about the best places to raise a family. Clarksville, Tennessee showed up.

I was a teacher and a mom looking for a place where I could build a good life for my family. Clarksville was affordable, I knew I could find work teaching, and in 2018, I packed up my life in Southern California and moved to Tennessee.

What surprised me most wasn't the cost of living. It was the people.

I'd walk into a gas station and a complete stranger would talk to me like they'd known me for years. People said hello. They asked questions. They noticed you.

I'll be honest — at first, it made me uncomfortable. I had gotten used to living somewhat anonymously among strangers. Suddenly, I was in a place where I felt seen as a valuable member of a community simply because I was part of it.

Turns out, Southern hospitality is real.

Somewhere along the way, Tennessee stopped being the place I moved to and became home.

Then real estate changed the way I looked at moving.

Before becoming a REALTOR®, I spent 10 years as an educator, including mentoring and leading other teachers. I brought more of that career into real estate than I initially realized.

I'm not particularly interested in telling someone where they should live. I want to understand how you actually live.

What does Tuesday morning look like? Where are you driving? Do you want land — or do you really want less maintenance? When you say walkable, do you picture walking to coffee, or do you really mean having restaurants ten minutes away? How much house feels comfortable after you account for the rest of the life you're trying to build?

Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville, Spring Hill, Thompson's Station and Columbia can all look appealing on a relocation shortlist. That doesn't make them interchangeable. And a beautiful house in the wrong place is still the wrong house.

That's why I built SellingTN.

SellingTN is for people who want to understand Middle Tennessee before they start chasing listings. I wanted to build the resource I would have wanted when I was sitting in California trying to figure out whether a place I'd read about on the internet could actually become home.

Here you'll find honest community guides, side-by-side comparisons, relocation tools, local context and real talk about the tradeoffs that don't fit neatly into a listing description.

When you're ready for an actual real estate conversation, we'll start with the same thing: the life first. Then the location. Then the house.

Client proof

Don't take my word for it.

“Cherie helped me in buying my first home! She met with me and asked all my wants and needs to narrow down the perfect fits for me in the right neighborhoods. She was patient with me and I was comfortable enough to tell her exactly how I felt about each house we looked at so nobody was wasting time or felt pressured. When looking at empty houses, she helped me visualize how I could improve the space and give it the ‘look’ that I really wanted. I really enjoyed working with her and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a personable & reliable realtor!”
